WHAT IS WSQ?
The Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national credentialing system. It trains, develops, assesses and recognises individuals for the key competencies that companies look for in potential employees.
WSQ is based on national standards developed by WDA in collaboration with various industries comprising industry sectoral frameworks.
KEY FEATURES OF WSQ
An occupational and competency-based system, designed to build industry-specific capabilities
Both singular and flexible training modules, with the option to implement as-is, or build up to full qualifications
Assessment and certification are based on ability to demonstrate the industry's required capabilities
Accessible to all workers and professionals
Recognises prior learning, such as work experience and credentials
Qualifications and certifications are based on Industry-agreed standards
WSQ qualifications are comparable to credentials issued by international and local awarding bodies
WSQ EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS (ES) PROGRAMME
The WSQ ES framework is established by WDA to equip the workforce with generic and portable skills to adapt and be resilient to challenges posed by a globalised and dynamic working environment. It enables employers to access and maintain a skilled workforce which provides a competitive edge for sustaining organisation success. It also equips workers with skills required to gain employment, progress within an organisation and contribute successfully to the organisation's strategic directions.
The WSQ ES programme is conducted in partnership with Eagle Infotech Consultants Pte Ltd. Both public enrolments and in-company training are available.
WSQ SERVICE EXCELLENCE (SV) PROGRAMME
WSQ Service Excellence is a Singapore government funded programme that focus on the specialised customer service programmes that are designed to enhance an organisation's service culture.
Programmes are available for frontline service crew to strategic level within the organisation.
The courses are conducted in partnership with the renowned Service Quality Centre, a national CET centre for WSQ Service Excellence.
